1.Anionic polyacrylamide (APAM)

1). Used for industrial wastewater treatment, especially for suspended particles, coarser, high-concentration, positively charged particles, and the pH of the water is neutral and alkaline, such as iron and steel plant wastewater, electroplating plant wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, and coal washing. The effect of wastewater treatment is excellent.
2). Drinking water disposal. The water of many water plants comes from rivers with little mud and high mineral content. It is relatively turbid. Although it is disposed of through sedimentation, it still fails to meet the demand. It is necessary to add flocculants to make the water quality clear. Many water plants use inorganic flocculants. , But the dosage is large, and the effect of increasing the amount of sludge formed is not good. Anionic polyacrylamide is used as the flocculant. The dosage is one-fifth of the inorganic flocculation, but the effect is several to several tens of times that of the inorganic flocculant. .
3). Used for recovery of lost starch and distiller's grains from starch plants and alcohol plants. Nowadays, the wastewater discharged from many starch factories has high starch content. After the discharge, it will affect the environment and waste resources. PAM is added to deposit starch. The sediment is filtered by a filter press to become cakes that can be used as feed. Many distiller’s grains in alcohol factories are used. It is processed by this technology.
4). Used as a water shutoff agent for profile control and water shutoff in oilfields, and an oil displacement agent for tertiary oil recovery.
5). Used as a papermaking aid. PAM is widely used in papermaking. It can be used as a long fiber papermaking dispersant, dry and wet strengthening agent, retention aid, filter aid and flocculant for papermaking wastewater.

2.Non-toxic polyacrylamide (PAM)

Non-toxic polyacrylamide is made by homopolymerization of acrylamide, with high purity, low ionization degree, good function, wide range of uses, main uses:
1). Mainly used as the base material for various modified polyacrylamides. For example, anionic polyacrylamide can be obtained by hydrolyzing non-ionic polyacrylamide with different trademarks as the base material according to its use. Mannich cationic polyacrylamide is the most important base material.
2). Textile industry auxiliaries, adding some other chemicals can be formulated into chemical sizing agent for textile sizing, which can improve the adhesion, permeability and desizing function, make the fabric anti-static, reduce the sizing rate, and reduce the twisting Pulp spots, machine breakage rate and falling objects.
3). It can be used as a sewage disposal agent. Non-ionic polyacrylamide is the most suitable flocculant when the sewage is obviously mixed with suspension. This is because PAM has the effect of adsorption and bridging, flocculating and depositing suspended particles. It can also be used for water treatment when it reaches the purpose of purifying water. This product is non-toxic, especially when used in cooperation with inorganic flocculants, which has the best water treatment effect.
4). Miscible with 9.5 parts of PAM and 0.5 parts of NN-methylene bisacrylamide, it can be used as a chemical grouting agent for blocking water in dikes, foundations and tunnels.
5). Pulp PAM is dissolved into 0.3% concentration and added with cross-linking agent, sprayed on the desert, and solidified into a film to prevent sand and fix sand. It is a very important method in desert management.
6). PAM is very hygroscopic, it can maintain the moisture of the soil. In arid areas, using PAM for soil improvement is an excellent way.
7). PAM cooperates with lignocellulose, plus some chemical additives, and can be used as an oilfield profile control and water shutoff agent.
8). It can be used in construction industry, construction glue, interior wall coating, etc.

3.Cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM)

It is made by copolymerization of vinyl cationic monomer and acrylamide. It is coded as PAM in the national standard. It is a linear polymer.
1). For sludge dewatering, the corresponding trademark of this product can be selected according to the nature of the sludge. It can be used to dehydrate the sludge before the sludge enters the filter press. When dewatering, large flocs occur, and the filter cloth does not stick to the filter press. The mud cake is loose and thick, the dehydration efficiency is high, and the water content of the mud cake is below 80%.
2). It is used for the disposal of daily sewage and organic waste water. This product has positive electricity in the distributing or alkaline medium, so that it is very useful to clarify the flocculation and deposition of the negatively charged sewage with suspended particles in the sewage. For example, the production of grain alcohol wastewater, papermaking wastewater, municipal wastewater treatment plant wastewater, beer wastewater, monosodium glutamate wastewater, sugar wastewater, high organic content wastewater, feed wastewater, textile printing and dyeing wastewater, etc., the use of cationic polyacrylamide is better than the use of anion, The effect of non-ionic polyacrylamide or inorganic salt is several times or tens of times higher, because this kind of waste water has negative charge everywhere.
3). The flocculant used in the treatment of tap water with river water as the source of water has a small dosage, good effect and low cost, especially when combined with inorganic flocculants. The effect is very good. It will become a treatment for the Yangtze River, the Yellow River and other river basins. High-efficiency flocculant for waterworks.
4). Strengthening agent and other auxiliary agents for papermaking.
5). Used in oilfield economics aids, such as clay anti-swelling agent, thickening agent for oilfield acidification.

4.Zwitterionic polyacrylamide (PAM)

Zwitterionic polyacrylamide is formed by hydrolysis and copolymerization of vinyl amide and vinyl cationic monomer acrylamide monomer. According to infrared spectroscopy analysis, the product chain has not only the negative charge of the carboxyl group after the hydrolysis of acrylamide, but also the positive charge of the vinyl group. Therefore, the zwitterion that has both positive and negative charges on the molecular chain is formed. Regular polymer.
1). Profile control and water shutoff agent. Through oilfield experiments, the function of this new zwitterionic profile control and water shutoff agent is higher than that of other single ion profile control and water shutoff agents.
2). The latest water treatment agent. In many occasions, when disposing of sewage and water, the cooperative use of anionic polyacrylamide and cationic polypropylene produces a very significant and synergistic effect than the use of an ionic polyacrylamide alone. PAM, The energy of reducing surface tension is far greater than the ability of cations or anions to exist alone under the same conditions. In order to meet the requirement of reducing surface tension, anion and cationic polyacrylamide must be used together. If the two are used improperly, white deposits will occur. The effect of the application is lost. PAM has the characteristics of zwitterions. It can complete the cooperative and synergistic effect of anions and cations without any sediments. Especially for water quality conditions that are messy or the nature of water often changes, it is more important to use PAM as a flocculant. Convenient, the effect is very good.
3). Sludge dewatering agent. Because the nature of urban sewage discharge is becoming more and more messy, the demand for sludge dewatering agent in sewage disposal is getting higher and higher. Single cationic polyacrylamide is not used to some sludge dewatering. ; Zwitterionic sludge dehydrating agent, through the dehydration experiment and application of various sludges, is better than polyacrylamide with single ion characteristics. In particular, the use of zwitterionic polyacrylamide to dewater the sludge of oil refineries and chemical plants is more effective.
4). In the papermaking industry, as a papermaking chemical, its effect is incomparable to PAM with a single characteristic. Especially in terms of retention and filtration, it can improve the water filtration speed under the screen, reduce the loss of fiber fillers, and affect the wet end system. It has a good effect, and has a boosting and compensating effect on the smoothness, strength and double-sided difference of the finished paper.

Production method  1 Acrylonitrile is hydrated under the action of copper catalyst to obtain acrylamide, and then polymerized to polyacrylamide under the action of K2S2O8.
The copper-aluminum alloy is washed with alkali treatment and made into Cuihua agent, which is put into the hydration reactor, the acrylonitrile raw material is pumped to the storage tank and then put into the measuring tank, the pure water after ion exchange treatment is sent to the measuring tank, and then press The proportioning pump is continuously injected into the hydration reactor through the raw material preheater, and the hydration reaction is controlled at 85-125°C to produce the acrylamide aqueous solution. The remaining acrylonitrile is recycled through the flash tower to the condenser and flows into the water metering tank for recycling, and the acrylamide solution is recycled from The flash tank flows into the storage tank, is pumped to the high tank to remove the resin exchange column, enters the storage tank to prepare a 7-8% concentration monomer, and is sent to the polymerizer to make colloidal polyacrylamide and package it as a finished product.
Production method  2  Colloidal polyacrylamide: add 1 200 kg of deionized water into the hydrolysis reactor, add under stirring of acrylonitrile, 0.3 kg of aluminum hydroxide, cupric hydroxide for complex catalysis, and have hydrolysis reaction at 85~125 °C. After completion of the reaction, distill off the unreacted monomer acrylonitrile. Prepare a 7% to 8% acryloyl aqueous solution, add polymerization vessel and have polymerization reaction upon the triggering of ammonium persulfate.
High molecular weight-polyacrylamide; hydrolyze acrylonitrile at 110~140 °C, 0.3 MPa into acrylamide. Add PAGE into the polymerization vessel containing deionized water, and have reaction for 8 to 24 h in the triggering of 50 mg/kg of ammonium persulfate. Then, it is hydrolyzed into the final product under alkaline conditions and at 70~80 °C.
Production method  3  Add measured acrylonitrile into the reaction vessel; further add a catalytic amount of copper-based catalyst. Stir and warm up to 85~120 °C. The reaction pressure was controlled at 0.29~0.39 MPa. In continuous operation, the feed content was controlled at 6.5% with empty velocity of about 5h-1. The obtained acrylamide was then transferred polymerization vessel; add a certain amount of deionized water. Have the polymerization reaction in the triggering of potassium persulfate; add an appropriate amount of sodium bisulfite at 10 mins after the start of the reaction. Gradually heat to 64 °C, cool the reaction mixture, and have reaction at about 55 °C for 6h. Remove the unreacted monomer at vacuum (80 °C) under reduced pressure to obtain the finished product.
