Storage methods

The synthetic methods
It is prepared from natural castor oil or adipic acid monoester as raw material. Sebacic acid can also be obtained by polymerization of ethylene and carbon tetrachloride, but almost all sebacic acid produced by industry in the world is made from castor oil.
1. Castor oil cracking method Castor oil is heated and hydrolyzed under the action of alkali to generate castor oil sodium soap, and then sulfuric acid is added to generate castor oil; In the presence of the diluent cresol, add alkali and heat to 260-280℃ for cracking to generate disodium sebacate, secoctanol and hydrogen. After the cracking products are diluted with water, heat and add acid to neutralize, and the disodium salt is changed into monodium salt. After activated carbon decolorization, the neutralization solution is boiled and acid is added to make sebacic acid monosodium salt into sebacic acid crystallization and precipitation, and then the finished product is obtained by separation and drying. Raw material consumption quota: castor oil (industrial) 2100kg/t, sulfuric acid (98%) 1600kg/t, caustic soda (95%) 1200kg/t, cresol (industrial) 100kg/t.
 
2. Petroleum n-decane fermentation method Using n-decane separated from 200 # solvent oil or 166-182℃ distillate, using 19-2 hydrolysis of Candida lipoides to ferment sebacic acid. 3. The new cyclopentanone method takes palladium salt - copper or iron as catalyst, in the solvent of ethanol, propanol or other alcohols, under the mild condition of 40-60℃ low temperature and atmospheric pressure, the cyclopentene is oxidized by air to form cyclopentanone, and then oxidized and dimerized by iron catalyst.
