Chemical properties
Colorless clear liquid with aromatic odor similar to benzene. Soluble in ethanol, ether and other organic solvents, insoluble in water.
use
1. It is used for the synthesis of drugs, such as vanamycin, and also for the production of dyes, synthetic resins, solvents, etc
2. Used for making drugs, dyes, etc.
3. Used for making drugs and plasticizers, etc.; Thiophene is an important organic chemical raw materials, it is very widely used. Mainly used in dyes, pharmaceuticals and resins. The synthesis of a new broad-spectrum antibiotic, Chemicalbook, is an important pharmaceutical chemical auxiliaries, but also can be used in color film production and special effect photography, synthesis of a complex reagent, for uranium and other metals extraction and separation, etc..
4. Used as raw materials and plasticizer in pharmaceutical, dyestuff, plastic and other industries
5. Mainly used as intermediates in pharmaceutical industry, used in the preparation of thiacetopyridine, thiacil and other drugs. It is also used as raw material in the synthetic resin and dye industries. It is also used as an organic solvent. As a chemical reagent, used as a standard reagent for chromatographic analysis.
6. As a solvent, chromatographic analysis of the standard substances, and for organic synthesis, the manufacture of resins, dyes and pharmaceuticals.
7. Thiophene can be used in the manufacture of dyes, pharmaceuticals and resins; A new broad-spectrum antibiotic, avanamycin, was synthesized. Used for color film manufacturing and stunt photography; Synthesize complex reagents; It is an important intermediate in the synthesis of phenolic plastics and resins. Thiophene itself is a good dewaxing agent and paint cleaner. The thiophene derivatives have a variety of pharmacological activities. There are many kinds of thiophene azo dyes with excellent performance. Sulfonylurea derivatives of thiophene are new herbicides with high efficiency and low toxicity. Other derivatives can also be used as insecticides, fungicides, plant and animal growth promoters, etc. In addition, some thiophene derivatives are components of organic semiconductors. In short, thiophene and its derivatives in the pharmaceutical industry, dye industry, pesticide industry, resin industry, chemical industry and other aspects have a very important position.
Production methods
Thiophene exists in coal tar and shale oil, can use the waste acid produced by crude benzene washing as raw material, hydrolysis at 110-150℃, hydrolysis gas generated by hydrolysis rectification tower into the top of the condenser, condensation of rectification products containing thiophene is about 15%-25%, xylene is about 50%-60%, also containing benzene, toluene, methyl thiophene and some unknown substances. Each ton of waste acid can extract about 10kg of rectification products. After dehydration with solid sodium hydroxide through rectification refining, can get 90%-95% content of thiophene products. Chemical synthesis of thiophene, butane and sulfur can be used as raw materials, butane dehydrogenation and then sulfur ring formation of thiophene, in the laboratory preparation of 1, 4-dicarbonyl compounds and phosphorus trisulfide reaction.
