reasonable price 104-54-1 high quality 104-54-1 Cinnamyl alcohol
Chemical properties
There are cis and trans isomers. Trans is colorless or slightly yellow long fine needle-like crystal, similar to hyacinth and paste fragrance, sweet, melting point 33℃(pure product is lower than 24℃), boiling point 258℃, flash point 126℃, relative density :(D35) 1.0338; (D20)1.044, index of refraction (ND22)1.5819, commercially available, mainly refers to trans isomers. Cis is a colorless liquid with high refractive property, boiling point 127℃(1333Pa), relative density (D22)1.041, refractive index (ND25)1.5710. It is oxidized to cinnamaldehyde in the air. Soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol and most non-volatile oil, insoluble in water and petroleum ether, insoluble in glycerin and non-volatile oil. Natural products are found in the form of esters in Peruvian balsam, cinnamon leaves, hyacinth oil, and sozo balsam.
Production methods
Cinnamyl alcohol in the form of ester exists in natural sucrose oil, Peruvian gum and cinnamon oil, adding proper amount of 10% caustic solution, can be prepared by heating. There are many methods to synthesize cinnamyl alcohol. Cinnamyl cinnamate was saponified in alkaline medium to obtain cinnamyl alcohol with good quality. The yield of cinnamyl alcohol was 73% when cinnamyl aldehyde was reduced by isopropyl aluminum. When cinnamaldehyde is reduced by benzyl alcohol aluminum, it is simultaneously steamed to benzaldehyde to obtain cinnamyl alcohol, and the finished product is obtained by vacuum distillation. The double bonds of the side chain are not touched by this method.
Production methods
In cinnamaldehyde reduction method, adding 0.01 aluminum flakes to 1 part of benzyl alcohol is heated to 60℃ for hydrogen release, and the temperature is raised to 180℃ until hydrogen release is stopped. The benzyl alcohol aluminum solution is cooled, filtered and added to a mixture of benzyl alcohol and cinnamaldehyde (mass: 1:1). Heated to boiling at 0.0027MPa, steamed at 80℃ and reflux ratio of 3 ~ 4, benzyl alcohol was added at the same time. Stop feeding until 95% of the theoretical amount of benzaldehyde is steamed, and the remaining benzyl alcohol is steamed, and then the crude cinnamyl alcohol is steamed. After vacuum distillation, 117℃(7kPa) distillate was collected to form the product. The saponification process of sucrose balsam cinnamyl alcohol occurs naturally in the form of cinnamyl cinnamate in Peruvian balsam, benzoin balsam and sucrose balsam. Saponification was carried out in 10% sodium hydroxide solution by heating for 5h, and then cinnamyl alcohol was extracted by ethyl ether. Finally, the finished product was purified by vacuum distillation.
Production methods
The cinnamyl cinnamate was saponified in 10% caustic sodium solution for 5h to obtain the hydrolyzed products, cinnamyl alcohol and cinnamic acid, and then cinnamyl alcohol was extracted from ethyl ether and purified by vacuum distillation. Dissolved cinnamaldehyde in isopropanol, catalyzed by aluminum isopropanol, fractionated at 70 ~ 80℃, reduced distillate is crude product, then steamed isopropanol and vacuum distillation, purification, to obtain pure product.
