Details

The synthetic methods
1. Hydrochloric acid method: add hydrochloric acid into the reactor, slowly add lithium carbonate according to a little too theoretical amount for reaction, generate lithium chloride, after filtration, the filtrate evaporation and concentration precipitation crystallization, and then cooling, rapid pumping filtration, anhydrous lithium chloride
finished product.
2. Dissolve lithium carbonate in hydrochloric acid, steam dry, can be prepared lithium chloride white powder.
In order to produce particularly pure anhydrous lithium chloride, it must be refined and purified.
There are three refining methods :(1) Carbonate refining; (2) make lithium fluoride precipitate into lithium chloride; (3) using ion exchange resin for refining. Now the method (3) is introduced as follows:
Hydrogen cation exchange resin using Amberlite IR  120 resin, 100 ml capacity; The anion exchange resin is Amberlite IRA400 chlorine-type resin with a capacity of 100mL. The lithium chloride is dissolved in 25% methanol monohydrate (mole fraction) made the chloride ion concentration in the mixed solvent under 1 mol/L concentrate, also can use 25% (volume fraction) of methanol 0  5 mol/L hydrochloric acid as eluent, can operate at room temperature. This method can remove calcium ions and 70% sulfate ions which are difficult to remove, and obtain pure lithium chloride. This method is simple and quick.
 
The main purpose
1. It is used to make welding materials, air conditioning equipment and lithium metal. It's also used to make fireworks.
